Pine: Radiata

Botanical Name: Pinus radiata.
Appearance: Sapwood is usually pale yellow to white. Grain is generally straight with often pronounced difference in colour between earlywood and latewood results in a very distinctive pattern when back-sawn.
Common Uses: Interior dressed mouldings requiring a clear non-Finger Jointed appearance. Not suitable for exterior use unless treated to minimum H3 level.
Finishing: Generally stained or clear-finished to highlight the grain pattern.
