Botanical Name: Araucaria cunninghamii.
Appearance: Heartwood ranges from pale cream to light yellow-brown with little difference between heartwood and sapwood. Grain is very fine and evenly textured. Growth rings usually visible but indistinct.
Common Uses: Interior dressed mouldings requiring a clear non-Finger Jointed appearance. Not suitable for exterior use unless treated to minimum H3 level.
Finishing: Generally stained or clear-finished to highlight the grain pattern.
