Pine: Finger Joint

Botanical Name: Generally Hoop or Radiata Pine species.
Appearance: Short lengths of straight and generally defect free timber which are finger jointed together to form longer lengths than are traditionally available from natural solid timbers. The constructed nature means lengths are less likely to twist or deform.
Common Uses: Dressed square and moulding profiles. Untreated items are suitable for Interior applications only. Exterior usage possible when treated to H3 level or higher.
Finishing: Most commonly painted, although transparent finishing is possible which highlights the finger joints.
