Botanical Name: Dyera costulata.
Appearance: Heartwood is creamy white to straw coloured. The grain is almost straight, the texture fine and even and of plain appearance.
Common Uses: Mainly used for modelling or pattern making.
Finishing: Applications don't generally require surface finishing, however it's low density increases product absorption for penetrative coatings. Generally a film-forming coating is preferable.
